Sustainable farming & climate resilience
About
Louise Mabulo is a Filipino farmer, entrepreneur, and environmentalist. She founded The Cacao Project, a social enterprise that partners with farming communities to restore degraded landscapes through agroforestry while creating climate-smart livelihoods and strengthening rural economies.
Work
Through The Cacao Project, Louise helps farming communities restore ecosystems while building sustainable local businesses. Since founding the initiative at the age of 18, she has partnered with more than 300 farming households, supported the planting of over 400,000 trees, and restored more than 800 acres of degraded land. Her work also enables farmers to develop value-added enterprises, demonstrating how environmental restoration can create lasting economic opportunities.
