Super-corals for ocean conservation
About
Titouan Bernicot was born on a small atoll island in the Tuamotu archipelago. In 2017, after noticing the terrible degradation of his home reef, he founded Coral Gardeners – a small association that has grown into a global movement of over half a million people working to save coral reefs in Mo’orea, French Polynesia, and beyond.
Work
Coral Gardeners started as a team of 50 members and has grown into the largest and most advanced reef restoration program in the world. Its mission is three-fold, to raise awareness, restore, and innovate. Over 100,870 coral reefs have been replanted thanks to their work, but they aren’t stopping there! They aim to plant one million corals by 2025.
